INTRODUCING OUR NEW BOARD MEMBERS
We’re excited to announce that we have recruited some amazing new E16 board members from the community to take us through the next phase of our development.
We had an amazing response to our recent recruitment campaign and we can now introduce 6 new board members from the E16 community, representing local council tenants, homeowners, Mears tenants and shopkeepers too.
First of all we would like to introduce Eeswari Sabanathan
“I am a shopkeeper running a family owned business for the the past thirty three years in Freemasons Road. More than three decades of our life has had a connection with Custom House. We the shopkeepers and the residents are in the same predicament.
Our combined aim/effort is to work towards getting an economically viable, sustainable , affordable housing, shops and services linked to local wages and not to market value. We with one voice want to be heard and our future in the making of the “NEW CUSTOM HOUSE” addressed in a humane manner.
ECONOMICS ALONE SHOULD NOT DICTATE THE REGENERATION BUT THE VOICE OF THE PEOPLE SHOULD BE HEARD AND THEIR WISHES CONSIDERED.”
